Mark Garfield
Senior Vice President and Region Manager, International Banking for Zions Bank
Mark Garfield is Senior Vice President and Region Manager of International Banking for Zions Bank, having joined the Bank in 2005 to lead it’s international banking efforts. Mark has two decades of international banking management, with expertise in trade finance, foreign exchange, LC operations, international payment systems, and correspondent banking. After receiving a bachelor degree in International Business from the University of Colorado in 1983, he began his career as a commercial loan officer in Salt Lake City. He later specialized in trade finance, assisting U.S. companies in financing imports and exports sales. He participates in programs with the U.S. Small Business Administration, Department of Agriculture, and Export-Import (EXIM) Bank of the U.S. that support foreign sales. He also maintains Delegated Authority from EXIM Bank.
Mark remains active in various international trade organizations in the country. He is currently president of the Salt Lake District Export Council, on the boards of both the Bankers Association of Finance and Trade (BAFT), and the World Trade Center Utah, and a member of International Financial Services Association (IFSA), the World Trade Association, the University of Utah International Advisory Board, the SLCC International Advisory Board, and participates in the University of Utah Host Family program.
