During a recent visit to Utah, Mr. Aldo R. Defillipi, Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce of Peru (Cámara de Comercio Americana del Perú) signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Salt Lake Chamber and Utah Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and discussed  mutually beneficial projects that would provide a better understanding of market opportunities in Utah and in Peru, help identify reliable partners and facilitate trade missions.

Although Mr. Defilippi has traveled to the United States before, this was his first visit to Utah. The American Chamber of Commerce of Peru is an independent, non-profit organization founded on January 17, 1968 to represent American, Peruvian and foreign companies. Currently it has over 2,500 individual members representing over 500 corporate entities.  These entities are the most important and most representative companies of the country and cumulatively account for about 60% of Peru’s GDP.  While 70% of the companies are Peruvian, the remaining 30% represent foreign entities.
