The World Trade Association of Utah luncheon on March 18, 2010 featured the Managing Partner for CPS Capital Markets, Inc., Mr. Al Manbeian. Mr. Manbeians’ talk focused on international currencies and the effects on anyone doing business, import or export, internationally. Mr. Manbeian stated that many customers tell his company that they do all of their business in US dollars, therefore they believe that currency exchange has no impact on their business. However, Mr. Manbeian shared that all changes in currency effect what they pay for imported goods or the price charged for exports. While not suggesting that one speculate in the currency markets, both buyer and sellers, if not both, are effected, even if they pay in local currencies.
