
Canadian Honorary Consul Scott Parker, WTCU CEO Lew Cramer, Canadian Consul General Dale Eisler
The entire Denver office of the Canadian Consul General Dale Eisler visited Utah for two days of events including a luncheon presentation: “Canada’s Oil Sands: Energy and the Environment, a Reconciliation” a presentation to Utah’s legislators and a Reception at the Utah State Capital honoring the long-standing significant trading relationship between Canada and the state of Utah. During these events, Consul General Dale Eisler shared notable statistics including the fact that Canada is the U.S.’s largest source of imported energy, trade with Canada supports more than 7 million U.S. jobs with 61,250 of those in Utah alone. Eisler noted that Utah and Canada exchange nearly $8 million in goods daily with the sales of transportation equipment alone exceeding $206 million.
