Global employment law expert Roger Tsai of Parsons Behle & Latimer shared his perspective on bringing top foreign science and engineering talent to Utah to work with entrepreneurial companies in the state, at a special event held July 16 at the Utah Fund of Funds offices in Salt Lake City. Mr. Tsai’s presentation was part of the Utah Fund of Funds Entrepreneur Workshop series, free quarterly events designed to provide relevant information and perspective for established, growth and start-up companies in Utah.

“Given the complexity and potential complications of the immigration laws, employing foreign talent is no feat for the faint of heart,” said Matt Peterson, vice president of the Utah Fund of Funds. “Roger Tsai has deep knowledge and credibility that can help companies to successfully negotiate these rough waters.”
Attendees at the Fund of Funds event ranged from entrepreneurs to seasoned executives at established companies with extensive international experience. Mr. Tsai informed participants about the increasingly complex immigration laws and procedures governing the employment of foreign workers in the U.S., including new requirements for online verification of citizenship status. Participants at the event discussed their own experiences and aspirations in an informal setting designed to encourage questions and conversation.
